This morning I post on FB a picture of freshly pulled veggies from my raised beds.
Carrots, beetroot and spinach. I added an apple and ginger and whacked it through my juicer.
Now that makes me happy!! Not the I’ve bought new shoes happy but really heart felt happiness.
I was talking to my VIP coaching client who I’m helping with the menopause transition last night.
She contacted me feeling frumpy, lumpy and just plain exhausted.
One of the things she is working on is keeping a happiness journal.
She writes down all the little things that make her happy in her life.
Like a hug from the kids, a nice comment from her husband, getting a big job finished at work.
Last night she had a bit of an ah ha. She has begun to feel the benefit of focusing on the good things in her life.
^^^^Happy Mrs Menopause :0)
It’s so easy to get caught up in wishing for ‘stuff’ we havent got.
Wishing we were thinner/different hair/better car/different partner
We become what we think about most.
So if we keep mulling over our debts, those debts will stay
If we keep looking in the mirror and hating our reflection that aint going to change either
I realise that this is easier said than done sometimes, especially when it feels like everything is against you.
In those times just be grateful to wake up may be enough
or enjoying the smile of a loved one
There is loads of research on the subject
“One group wrote about things they were grateful for that had occurred during the week. A second group wrote about daily irritations or things that had displeased them, and the third wrote about events that had affected them (with no emphasis on them being positive or negative). After 10 weeks, those who wrote about gratitude were more optimistic and felt better about their lives. Surprisingly, they also exercised more and had fewer visits to physicians than those who focused on sources of aggravation.”
Seems so simple right?
I’ve seen loads of people on FB posting 3 things positive things that happened to them that day.
What works even better is doing this with a pal. Text each other 3 things that you are grateful for or made you happy and feel the magic happen.
