I’m officially a (mature!) student 🙂 I have a student card and everything 😉
I’ve committed to studying for 3 years and will be investing in over £10,000 in tuition fees.
GULP!
I’m studing to be a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist.
Usually I’m crap at making decisions, I over think it, I have to ask other peoples opinions, doubt myself and bascially had no confidence in my own decisions. Paralysis by analysis lol. I was out of touch with my intuition.
However this was different ….. I had a clear visualisation of where this could take me, I could see a future. I was excited about how I could help my friends, family and clients on a whole new level.
When I had the interview with the college and saw the subjects I would be studying I was literally bouncing off the walls.
My gut intuition was shouting so loud that I couldn’t ignore it even when the ‘negative commitee’ in my head started sowing the seeds of doubt…..
“How can you afford it?”
“Where will you find the time to study?”
“Is this really what you want to do?”
“You’re not smart enough?”
“How will you cope with the added pressure?”
“You’re too old?”
Do you ever get that doubt? Those negative voices? Annoying aren’t they? It’s one of the things I work on with coaching clients.
If you want something bad enough then you find a way right? Yes it’s a big investment, yes it’s going to be tough to balance my time, yes it’s going to be worth it.
Please remind me of this when I’m a week before my first exams eeekkkkk!
Is there something you really want? Get healthier? lose weight? get fitter? change your diet? Spend more time with the kids?? Learn a new skill? Start a new hobby?
Ask yourself how much do you really want it? Do you really, really, reeeeeally? Â Or is it you think you should be doing it? Or is it something that someone else thinks you should be doing? Or perhaps a magazine told you so?
If that’s the case that probably won’t work out for you. You gotta get in touch with your heart, what it wants, deep down.
Have agreat day
